“This time it’s personal.” It really is. I got a small scratch in the center of my cornea. It became the home of a old and aggressive bacteria. So I was “one-eyed” and fighting to save the sight in my eye.
I learned and am continuing to learn a lot about how we see. “One-eyed Pete Comes Ashore” was my first attempt to work with tactile media since the injury. The title is obvious once you know the story. I am now able to go back and forth between tactile and electronic media as the healing continues. The prognosis is favorable.
This piece is a turning point for me. It’s also a glimpse of my lighter more frivolous side. This occurs on occasion.
