Landscape is perhaps at the center of how I think about building an image. I grew up in a glacially deformed landscape. The vestiges of raw energy were everywhere I looked. There came a day when I realized just how I did look at the scenes.
It was then that I recognized any landscape is edited and contains multiple viewpoints. The way I made landscapes changed in that moment. This is one that has that multiple viewpoint built in. The surface is not so much a window as it is an arena. It is my hope that a viewer can feel the different aspects.
A good friend observed how I had created a way to enter the picture from the far background. I was happy with that.
